Gareth Bale has penned a deal to stay on with BT as a guest pundit on their TV channels.
This would certainly suggest that Bale will in fact be staying in the UK and for at least another year.
Berichte mal wieder vom SpursMad! Wenn ichs richtig verstehe, hat Bale einen Vertrag mit BT unterzeichnet, in dem festgelegt ist, dass er als TV Gastexperte auftreten wird, was zur Folge hätte, dass er (wenigstens) der Premier League erhalten bleibt. Korrigiert mich wenn ich falsch liege, mein Kopf brummt noch und hatte keine Lust den englischen Text aufmerksam zu lesen.

André Villas-Boas gerät an der Pressekonferenz ins Schwärmen, benutzt Worte wie «taktisch klug» und macht selbst vor Superlativen nicht halt: «das beste Team, das ich je an der White Hart Lane gesehen habe». Kurzum: der Tottenham-Coach fasst die Leistung des FC Basel an diesem denkwürdigen Donnerstagabend in Worte.
Lobhuldigungen, die treffender nicht beschreiben könnten, welch grossen Respekt die Star-Truppe aus dem Norden Londons vor der Leistung der Basler hat. Schliesslich haben in dieser Saison unter anderem schon Lyon (1:2), Inter Mailand (0:3), Arsenal (1:2) und Liverpool (1:2) an der altehrwürdigen White Hart Lane verloren.
Gegen den Schweizer Meister hätten sich die Spurs hingegen selbst über eine Niederlage nicht beklagen dürfen und reisen nun mit einem mulmigen Gefühl in der Magengegend zum Rückspiel.
«Das wird ein hartes Stück Arbeit», so Villas-Boas, der am kommenden Donnerstag auf seinen Superstar Gareth Bale verzichten muss. Der 23-Jährige verletzte sich in der Schlussphase schwer am Knöchel und dürfte mehrere Wochen ausfallen. Eine Hiobsbotschaft! Villas-Boas gibt sich trotzdem zuversichtlich: «Wir haben in dieser Saison bewiesen, dass wir auch ohne Bale gewinnen können.»
Die englischen Medien hingegen geben sich weniger optimistisch und malen Horrorszenarien. «Bale K.O.», schrieb die «Sun» in grossen Lettern und zweifelt daran, dass die Hotspurs im Rückspiel ohne ihren Superstar weiterkommen.
Die «Daily Mail» spielt mit dem Titel «die Nacht der Frustration» ebenfalls auf Bales Verletzung an. Denn: Mit Frust hatte dieses 2:2 zwischen Tottenham und Basel nicht viel zu tun. Vielmehr war es Lust. Und ein unglaubliches Spektakel. Ein Spiel, das der Fussballschweiz noch jahrelang im Gedächtnis bleiben wird.

The Club can confirm that Gareth Bale (sprained ankle ligaments), William Gallas (calf strain) and Aaron Lennon (soft tissue contusion below the knee) all underwent scans today (Friday) after being forced off with injuries during our Europa League Quarter Final First Leg draw with Basel last night.
The results of these scans have indicated that all three players are expected to return to training within two weeks.

Der "Telegraaf" vermeldet, dass der FC Twente Interesse an Heurelho Gomes habe. "Vom PSV habe ich habe nichts gehört, aber von Twente erzählte mir mein Agent. Eine Rückkehr in die Niederlande ist eine ernst zu nehmende Option für mich", sagte Gomes. Klingt jetzt nicht unbedingt so, als könne sich der Brasilianer eine Zukunft im Kraichgau vorstellen..
Die Zeichen stehen wohl auf Abschied. Ist für Gomes und Tottenham wohl das beste ^.^ Edit:

Bleiben wir gleich in England und beim "Mirror". Der berichtet, dass die Tottenham Hotspur an Christian Atsu vom FC Porto interessiert sind. Der ghanaische Flügelflitzer soll angeblich eine Ausstiegsklausel in Höhe von 9,4 Millionen Euro im Vertrag haben. Ver Vertrag des 20-Jährigen läuft 2014 aus, angeblich will er spätestens dann in der Premier League spielen.

Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas is flattered to be linked with a possible upcoming vacancy at Real Madrid but says he is keen to remain at White Hart Lane.
Real will be looking for a new boss if Jose Mourinho departs, as expected, in the summer, and Villas-Boas could be a contender, having done well at Spurs this term.
However, Villas-Boas only arrived at Tottenham last summer and is keen to stay in the one place for longer than he has become accustomed to, having not lasted long at Chelsea last season.
"The fact he (Mourinho) made it public that he is looking for an exit has ended up with a lot of speculation," said Villas-Boas.
"It's very flattering but I think at the moment everybody is being linked with the Real Madrid job, because there are now lots of coaches around."

"For me it is always an honour but I am completely focused. I have a contract, I was given an opportunity, and I was extremely grateful.

During his spell in charge of Porto, Villas-Boas said he would like to manage in Brazil at some point, and he says that is still very much in his thoughts.
"Yes, that's the case," he said. "I definitely want to manage in Brazil."

Demnach soll Fiorentino Perez am Bale-Deal basteln: 53 Millionen Euro plus Gonzalo Higuian oder Angel Di Maria will Real Madrid bieten. Die Spurs aber wollen mehr. Da zockt er wieder, der Daniel Levy.

Tottenham have already started planning for next season and are ready to snap up Blackpool winger Tom Ince ahead of rivals Liverpool, according to the Mirror.
The paper reports Spurs are keen on wrapping up a deal for Ince as soon as possible and are optimistic of agreeing a fee with Blackpool soon.
Liverpool came close to landing Ince - son of Manchester United legend Paul, who is now Blackpool manager - in the summer, but the move broke down over his vaue before the window slammed shut in January.
Ince has been in superb form this season despite his side's struggles, and has scored 18 league goals while also earning himself a spot in the Championship Team of the Year on Sunday.
While it is unclear whether Liverpool will attempt to make another move for Ince - a former Anfield youngster - in the summer window, the Mirror claim Spurs are ready to make a tempting offer that Blackpool will be unable to refuse in order to get the deal done swiftly.
Should Ince arrive at White Hart Lane he is unlikely to dislodge Aaron Lennon from his right-wing berth, however the north London club have lacked width when the England international has missed games through injury and appear to be trying to amend that problem.
Spurs currently sit in 5th place in the Premier League as they bid for Champions League qualification this season, something which the size of their summer budget reportedly hinges on.

Internacional president Giovanni Luigi claims Tottenham Hotspur have re-opened transfer talks regarding Leandro Damiao.
SkySports schreibt, dass wir wieder an Damiao dran sind. Der Transfer ist ja bekanntermaßen im Januar gescheitert.
